Dr. Joy Frestedt was awarded the distinction of Fellow of the Association of Clinical Research Professionals on 23OCT2017. She will receive formal recognition of this significant accomplishment at the ACRP Annual Meeting and Expo in National Harbor, Maryland April 27- 30 2018.
Dr. Frestedt’s second book “FDA Warning Letters About Food Products” is now available from Elsevier’s Academic Press at https://www.elsevier.com/books/fda-warning-letters-about-food- products/frestedt/978-0-12-805470-3.
In addition, some novel research entitled: “Effect of Calcium Derived from Lithothamnion sp. on Markers of Calcium Metabolism in PremenopausalWomen was published in the October 2017 issue of the Journal of Medicinal Food. Dr. Frestedt co-authored this paper with John L. Zenk and Michael A. Kuskowski.

The University of California – Los Angeles (UCLA) hosted Dr. Frestedt this month on October 18th and 19th for a 2-day course about Preparing Investigational New Drug Submissions. Dr. Frestedt spoke to 30+ attendees including many physicians acting as Principal Investigators and Sponsor-Investigators.
Paxia Her joined the team as a CRQ Specialist on 11September 2017. Pax completed a BA in Kinesiology and an MS l PMH in Regulatory Toxicology and Risk Assessment from the University of Minnesota and is also a certified Phlebotomist.
