Sales and Marketing Leader

General Purpose

To plan, implement and manage our sales, marketing and advertising activities. You should be familiar with analysis and market research, product and service promotion and anticipation of customer behavior.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Meet sales and marketing objectives
  • Manage daily administrative tasks
    • Generate monthly sales and marketing metrics reports (dials/emails/connects)
      • Monitor and report monthly competitor sales and marketing activities
      • Prepare and deliver monthly sales history and forecasting reports
      • Maintain and update impeccable records of monthly marketing metrics and results of past marketing/prospecting campaigns
  • Generate and execute unique sales plans
    • Develop strong product knowledge and sales presence (value and customer appeal)
    • Develop strong understanding of target buyer / ideal customer profile
    • Create sales pitches for clinical, regulatory, quality and engineering services
      • Create engaging advertisements, emails, and promotional literature
      • Generate digital and print advertising materials
    • Manage cold calls with appropriate reach, frequency and rapport to secure new clients
      • Use up-front verbal agreements to set tone
      • Use active listening and documentation skills to record client needs
      • Ask questions to discover/analyze needs and then qualify prospects for Budget, Authority, Need, Timeline, Competition and Buying Process
      • Pose appropriate follow-up questions/activities (gain commitment/close deals)
    • Revive closed-lost opportunities
  • Generate and execute unique marketing plans
    • Assist with pricing strategies and timelines
    • Organize promotional events and demonstrations
    • Prospect strategically for clients, document objection prevention and management
    • Conduct market research and identify new opportunities
      • Gather and analyze consumer behavior data (e.g. web traffic and rankings)
      • Request referrals from existing connections to identify new prospects in target buyer or ideal customer profile
      • Request referrals to portfolio companies from investors and venture capitalists
  • Assist with ongoing customer management, as needed during project execution
  • Follow up with client surveys after project is completed and request next project


  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or relevant field
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience
  • Exceptional communication, presentation and time management skills
  • Successful work experience as a marketing associate, marketing assistant or similar position
  • Strong working knowledge of marketing and sales, including digital tools and techniques
  • Significant experience with SEO/SEM campaigns
  • Excellent computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office suite, web analytics, and Google AdWords)
  • Passion for clinical research, regulatory and quality affairs activities for pharmaceutical, medical device and food industries
  • Ability to interact with client companies, corporate executives and research sites as well as research subjects and Frestedt Inc. staff


  • Must be self-directed to secure added training while developing CRQE skills for Frestedt Inc.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to work independently
  • Able to travel to client sites as needed (less than 20% travel; mostly in TC area)
  • Must have excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Able to coordinate training sessions and to secure required training documentation
  • Able to reprioritize immediately as new projects arrive
